The Calendula Flower Facial Sauna is a facial treatment that allows - thanks to the combined action of the flower and hot water - to open the pores of the skin to cleanse and purify it deeply of its pollution and toxins, while stimulating blood circulation . Your skin regains all its radiance, it is revitalized. In addition, you benefit from the properties of CALENDULA, which is a soothing, softening, anti-inflammatory flower that calms skin irritations.
Implementation of the ritual
To allow yourself a moment of total relaxation, the treatment must be carried out consciously. Allow yourself a 30-minute break. Allow yourself a dose of Love. Settle into a calm and relaxing place. You can also put on some soft music if you feel like it.
Now, prepare the Calendula Flower infusion . Heat some nice pure spring water or water you have nearby to 80°C. Do not heat the water in the microwave, this will break down the structure of the water. Pour the hot water into the earthenware bowl.
Gently place 2 tablespoons of Calendula Flowers and mix the water and the flower.
Cover your head with the towel and position yourself over the bowl for 5 to 10 minutes maximum.
After the steam bath, dry your face thoroughly to remove impurities with your towel.
For a tonic effect, you can spray or apply a fresh Calendula hydrosol on the face before applying your Calendula macerate.
You can also make a hot compress on a part of your body that is irritated in order to relieve it . To do this, take a terry towel that you will soak in the infusion (be careful that the water is not boiling, otherwise you will burn). The hot infusion will have a decongestant effect on the irritated part. You can then apply the Calendula macerate for more soothing. Also suitable for children.
PRECAUTIONS AND CONTRAINDICATIONS :
- Be careful that the infusion water is not too hot or you risk burning yourself.
- Do not be allergic to the plant used.
- This practice is not recommended in cases of rosacea, eczema, or hyperpigmentation of the skin, as it risks drying out the skin even more.
- Facial saunas should be performed once or twice a month at most so as not to disrupt the skin's balance and damage the hydrolipidic film that protects it. Beyond this, the skin risks drying out, becoming irritated, losing its elasticity and no longer playing its role as a barrier.
